Correct grammar in itself is not sufficient for clearly and precisely conveying information in a foreign language. The so-called dictionary meaning is often as ineffective as the use of computer assisted translation tools. This is particularly obvious in the language of technology, where the knowledge of subject and its related terminology if often more important than the knowledge of the rules of grammar.
One has to remember that technical texts are written by practitioners for practitioners and should be translated according to the same principle – to make them perfectly understandable. This is why BAS entrusts its technical translations to specialists – engineers, technical university lecturers, often with many years of international practice. These texts are then additionally verified by linguists.
BAS’s translators have assisted in the building of many office blocks in Warsaw, in participating and winning important tenders, in drawing up the privatisation of the power industry and in privatising Telekomunikacja Polska S.A. They have also translated numerous catalogues and user manuals.
We specialise in translating the following types of technical documents:
Tender documents

Geodesic and geologic plans, land use plans, etc.
